It is with pleasure that I welcome you to the website of Hoosick Falls CSD. As you explore its pages, either as a student, a parent or as an interested member of the community, please gain a sense of what a very special school this is. Hoosick Falls CSD is a place that is dynamic, progressive and vibrant.
We offer a comprehensive and challenging curriculum that addresses the needs and interests of our students. Our team of innovated and dedicated teachers focuses upon quality teaching with a particular emphasis upon strategies to address different student learning styles. This approach has increased student academic performance and helped Hoosick Falls CSD advance fourteen places in the Capital District Business Review’s high school ranking of 87 high schools in the capital district region. Our new ranking makes us the school with the second biggest advancement in improvement.
Our school has begun to gain a reputation for providing a quality education for all of our students. We are embracing the concept of a holistic education both in theme and delivery. Administrators, teachers and students have proven that a school identified as a school with elements of poverty can make significant academic gains. This is testament to the pride and belief we share in our students and the potential each student holds. At Hoosick Falls Jr./Sr. High School, each student is encouraged to “set the bar high” in all areas of school life - academically, in extra curricular activities and in developing the values and attitudes that will enable him/her to make a contribution to the community. Extensive extracurricular programs are available to ensure that the physical, social and emotional needs of each student are met.
Within each individual lies the capacity for self-discovery. At Hoosick Falls Jr./Sr. High School, we encourage each student to recognize both strengths and weaknesses. In doing so we are able to establish the navigation points leading to personal growth and fulfillment of everyone’s potential.
