It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Hoosick Falls Junior/Senior High School web page. The staff is committed to providing our students with the 21st century skills that will enable each student to achieve success and develop necessary skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration. We are working diligently as a staff to ensure that each student is provided an opportunity to shine under the watchful eyes of dedicated and caring educators. Our goal is to provide an outstanding climate for all of our students to learn, grow, and achieve!

The 2010-2011 New York State Assessment results clearly show that our students have made impressive gains on Regents exams. Ninety percent of students have passed and 40% of those students have achieved a mastery score of 85 or higher. The Capital District Business Review conducts an annual ranking of all the Capital District area public schools. It is with great pride to share with you that HFCS was ranked 29th out of 91 of these schools. This is a tremendous advancement from last year when we were ranked 45th. Hoosick Falls was ranked 63rd back in 2006-2007. I am pleased to be a part of an outstanding staff and school community. HFCS has proven that a rural school district with a high poverty rate can increase student achievement.

Our School Community greatly values parents and we believe that each parent plays a vital role in the learning process. We believe that parents, teachers, community members, and the administration partnering together to help students achieve high academic and behavioral expectations is critical. This collaborative effort serves as a model of teamwork. It is my hope to see that all families are active members of our PTA, an organized body of individuals who have an interest and purpose in common…our students!

The staff and I look forward to another outstanding year. I appreciate the opportunity to work with and lead our wonderful school community. We are in a great place! Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at extension 1506.

With Panther Pride,
Stacy A. Vadney
7-12 Principal
